A Message from Our Founder
"I know what the silence sounds like."
I know the silence of a house after the police have left. I know the silence of a telephone that hasn't rung in weeks. And I know the silence of a medical system that has no answers for a child in a state of internal war.
A Path Without a Map
The Waymark Foundation was born out of years spent walking a path without a map. As a business owner and a provider, I lived a double life—navigating high-stakes professional demands by day and searching for manufactured weapons or managing behavioral lethality by night. I have felt the suffocating weight of depression that comes when you realize that your love, your resources, and your boundaries are not enough to stop a forest fire.
I have seen the "Safe Parent Paradox" play out in my own living room. I have read the lethality reports. I have sat in the ER waiting for kidney function to return after an overdose, only to be sent home 72 hours later with a child who was still in crisis.
We Are Here Because
"Nowhere to go" is an unacceptable answer.
We don't just provide grants; we provide Waymarks. We provide the documentation, the advocacy, and the financial bridge to ensure that your child is seen as a patient in need of healing — not just a problem to be processed.
To the Hyper-Vigilant Mothers + Fathers
Sleeping with one eye open, carrying a weight no one else can see.
I see you.
To the Parents Under Attack
Being hurt by the very children you are fighting to save.
I hear you.
To the Families Bankrupted
Falling through the "Missing Middle" of care with nowhere to land.
We are fighting for you.

You are not failing. You are navigating a system that wasn't built for us. Let's find the way back together.
